In 2012 the 36th Annual Monterey Wine Festival will be celebrating it’s next decade with new additions to the line-up and a plethora of traditional favorites from the past. Drawn by world class wines, gourmet foods, guests will find a rich rewarding experience. Wine and food lovers will savor and be able to test their rating abilities against professional wine judges and sommeliers and navigate the floor filled with the flavors of fine foods and bottled excellence. Guests will be able to enjoy international cheeses and gourmet bites and count this as one of the most unique and richly rewarding wine tasting events ever.

Monterey Custom House Plaza "State Historic Park"
The West Coast Chowder Competition will join the festival on Saturday and guests will be able to sample and savor the Best of the Best with local restaurants competing for the coveted Copper pot Award and cash prizes. Nothing tastes as great as exceptional seafood and a fantastic pinot gris or beautiful white wine. You'll be able to taste the seas "C's"
- chowder that is, which have won awards from across the country and beyond. Chefs will showcase their award winning chowders to be judged for the Best of the Best Chowder Competition. Our panel of judges will choose their pick and you'll be able to try them too or order a full cup to enjoy along with a few wines that are designed to enhance the chowder experience!
